3 Little Things That You Should Do Regularly To Keep Your Long-Distance Relationship Excited and Secure

A long-distance relationship is not easy. You don’t get to see, touch, or talk to your partner in person. It makes it harder to feel intimate in the relationship. The key to a long-distance relationship is that you make your partner feel that you still love them and miss them despite the distance.

1. Getting In Touch Every day

Every day when you wake up or go to bed, send a text to your partner. A simple “Good morning” and “Good night! Sweet dreams!” every day reminds your partner that you are missing and thinking about them. Sometimes add in Video Calls through Zoom or Whatsapp is also important. It makes a difference when you see the person versus only hearing their voice or seeing their text. However, quality time is more important than quantity, so don’t do it only for the sake of it. Make the time special for both of you.

2. Buy What Your Partner Loves To Eat

Everyone loves good food. Buy seasonal food, from fruits to seafood, for your partner and their family. Pack all their favorite snacks in a box and deliver it to them. Buy a bowl of hot soup for them during winter. Again, it’s a great gesture to tell how much you care about your partner.

3. Writing Letter

It might sound old school, but it’s really powerful. Sometimes we just don’t express ourselves enough in a relationship. When was the last time you told your partner how much they mean to you? When was the last time you told your partner that you feel sorry for something you did? When was the last time you told your partner you really enjoyed a certain moment with them? Now you can convey all of these important messages in a letter. The great thing is we don’t usually reread and keep all our text messages on our phones, but physical letters are usually kept well.
